This system is currently the most compact and efficient on the market for cottage and apartment water treatment. Typically, the installation of water treatment equipment requires the reservation of a special location at the design stage of the facility. And if for some reason this does not happen, it can be very problematic to “fit” a water treatment system into the finished project. Unique compactness, modern design and high performance characteristics make it possible to use the WaterBoss 700 even where a special place has not been previously provided. Another indicator - the extremely small amount of water spent on regeneration - is very important if there is a local sewerage system and a water meter. The WaterBoss softening and iron removal system is simple and easy to maintain, and outperforms conventional water softeners in all major categories. Once installed, the system only requires periodic filling with salt.
Ion exchange resin: WaterBoss softeners use a monodisperse ion exchange resin with a granule diameter of approximately 0.2 mm. The narrow fractional composition in combination with the small size of the granules makes it possible to obtain a sorption (ion exchange) medium with very low hydrodynamic resistance and very high kinetics of the ion exchange reaction. The use of such an ion exchange resin in conventional bulk columns is impossible, since standard “slots” at the inlet and outlet of the column have a slot size of 0.5 mm. Design: The ion exchange resin in WaterBoss is tightly packed between two polymer meshes with a cell size of 20 microns and an area close to the diameter of the column. Thanks to this, there are no parasitic stagnant volumes of resin that do not participate in the operation of the filter. Regeneration efficiency: The WaterBoss system implements countercurrent regeneration “in a clamped layer”, which is impossible with free resin filling due to the floating effect. Thanks to this, significant - up to 70% - savings in salt during regeneration are achieved.
